In the international trade landscape, performance matters, but reliability and transparency are even more important. We are therefore proud to announce that Ambrovit has obtained the status of AEO (Authorised Economic Operator): a certification issued by the customs authorities in recognition of the reliability, robustness, safety and professionalism of our company throughout the entire logistics chain.
But what exactly is AEO certification? And why is it so important? Let’s delve a little deeper.

AEO certification is issued by the European customs authorities to companies considered reliable business partners in international customs operations. This certification is much more than a piece of paper: it is a marker of trust for enterprises whose work is defined by method, transparency and responsibility.
For a company that trades internationally, AEO status represents an important competitive advantage, allowing the holder to benefit from simplified processes under customs legislation and fewer physical and documentary controls, in addition to conveying an image of reliability and competence to its customers and partners.
In other words, it encapsulates reputation, efficiency and safety.
At present, there are two types of AEO status: Authorised Economic Operator Customs Simplification (AEOC), which allows the holder to benefit from some simplifications under customs legislation; and Authorised Economic Operator Security and Safety (AEOS), for those who also guarantee high safety standards in transport and logistics operations.
The two certifications are cumulative; together, they represent the maximum level of trust granted to an economic operator (AEO Full – AEOF).
The path to becoming an AEO involves a series of in-depth checks by the customs authorities, which evaluate:
- compliance with customs and tax regulations;
- financial robustness;
- the traceability of commercial documentation and flows of goods;
- the existence of practical competence standards or professional qualifications directly related to the activity carried out (for AEOC);
- the implementation of adequate safety standards (for AEOS).
This process pinpoints only the most structured and reliable companies. For operators, AEO authorisation offers access to reduced physical and documentary controls at borders; more streamlined import/export procedures; and priority in terms of controls, if necessary. AEO status, in addition to being recognised throughout the European Union, is also valid for the non-EU countries with which the European Union has signed mutual recognition agreements.
In conclusion, obtaining AEO authorisation leads to greater operational sustainability by way of clearer and more optimised processes.

For Ambrovit, AEO status is a reflection of a well-defined company philosophy that puts quality first and foremost.
All screws, bolts, or metal fasteners we market are already accompanied by a series of certifications that guarantee their respective performances. For example, our carpentry screws have been tested and certified according to the EURONORM EN14592 and were re-evaluated in 2016 according to new specific technical parameters in accordance with the ETA technical standard. All the products we distribute comply with European community regulations and come with the relevant technical documents; sometimes, for more technical items, tutorial videos regarding their applications are available.
To ensure the highest quality, in addition to having an internal laboratory where we conduct various tests to monitor the quality of our products, we also rely on specialized external laboratories, among the most renowned of which we mention the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano and the Department of Mechanical and Structural Engineering at the University of Trento.
AEO status is not just a tick on a checklist: it is a daily commitment. Ambrovit is constantly investing in safety, and in the traceability and simplification of its processes, in order to offer its customers an increasingly efficient and reliable experience.
At Ambrovit, every screw is a pillar of strength, now reinforced by the support of the European customs authorities
